My favorite place to be is in the Wichita Mountains on this exact rock. When the weather is nice and I have a free day, I'm almost always here, reading and enjoying the view. It's such a beautiful place, and there's always a new adventure to go on every time I visit.
Oh, how great that you have a picture of the exact rock there in the Wichitas that is your place, Heather - fantastic! That is a beautiful part of Oklahoma. Maybe you will get to read some myths and legends there this semester once the weather turns nice again! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool spot! Very jealous too I've always wanted to hike the wichita mountains! They are right in our backyard and I still haven't made the trip to do it! Definitely putting that on my to do list once it warms up!

Maybe someday I will get to take my kids there for a family vacation. It's funny how I've lived my whole life in Oklahoma and I haven't been to these mountains or even to the Arbuckle Wilderness. Lol
ReplyDeleteThere are still so many place in Oklahoma and everyone else that I would love to visit and plan to someday. I grew up in a pretty sheltered environment, so that may be some of the reason why.
