Week 1 Introduction

Hey, everyone.  I’m Heather Catlett! I’m a  Pre-Occupational Therapy major and I’m minoring in Health and Exercise Sciences. I’m currently enrolled in this class (could you tell?), Queer Theory, Physics Lab, Genetics, and Intro to Biology.  I’m working on increasing my science GPA so I have a better shot of getting into grad school.

My hobbies include cross stitching, hiking, and longboarding.  I’m actually super clumsy, so the fact that I longboard is kind of comical.  My friends actually got me into it, and I absolutely love it.  I always feel so free and happy when I longboard.  It’s a really awesome time to just let my mind run free and enjoy the world around me. I’m currently working on my downhilling form so I can compete in races with my friends. I love being outside, so I am always doing something outdoors as much as I can.  I also cross stitch, which is pretty tame.  Cross stitching is pretty much just making X’s on cloth while following a pattern to make an image.  I only do it when I’m watching a movie or anything on netflix.  I have a hard time just sitting still, so I cross stitch to keep my hands busy, allowing me to actually sit and enjoy what I’m watching.

Also, I have two cats! I’m a huge cat person, which is fitting with my last name (Catlett). They are brother and sister!

The orange one is named Stig (named after The Stig from Top Gear), and the calico cat is named Olive.  They are both pretty rad! Stig is extremely attached to me and way too smart for his own good.  He taught himself how to open doors, so he could get into my room and sleep with me at night.  Olive is more of an independent cat, but she’s extremely sweet.

Those are pretty much the main things about me!
